Ravelympics!

Yesterday I decided to go all in and join the Ravelympics. For those of you who don't know what that is, Ravelympics is a knitting challenge. A Ravelympian needs to start a project during the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games. They also need to finish that project before the end of the Closing Ceremonies.

I am joining the Mitten Medley. My project is going to be the Snowbird mittens from the new issue of Vogue Knitting. It will be a challenge, because I've never done intarsia before. It's also my first pair of mittens!

I wish my grandma was still alive. She knit tons of mittens for us over the years. I hope I can make it through the pattern before I have any questions. If not, I will definately need to make another trip to my lys for some advice.

I went out and bought the yarn and some new dps today. I am ready for this!
