Wrock Inspired Scarf

Grrrrr! I just frogged four inches of this scarf and realized that I had gotten my pattern right! I want to scream.

Really, whose idea was it to do an illusion scarf and make up their own pattern? And why did they want words printed on it?! I'm insane, or at least, quickly getting there.

This Weekend

Is it really about noon? I'm having a bit of a late start today... very late. Memorial Day weekend has just come to pass. I thought it would have been a lot more relaxing than it actually was.

Saturday was spent out in the yard, mowing the grass for the first time (yes, it was horrible before), edging, cutting up the tree that fell, and cutting down two trees before they had the chance to fall (and take out the power lines, too). Luckily, most of the "yard work" I did consisted of baking chocolate chip cookies for the brothers and dad, all of whom came and helped out my bf with the yard work.

Sunday was the day of grocery shopping and trying to figure out why my brand new camera can't hold a charge. I got in a little bit of down-time today to knit, but ended up having a horrible night just trying to get to sleep. I don't know if it is the weather changeing or what was going on, I just could not fall asleep.

Monday was spent with family. My sister and I went up town for our annual Memorial Day parade. Usually the whole family goes, but mum and dad were at a wedding and my brother is in school. The parade lasted approximately 2 hours, give or take a lifetime. Afterwards, my sister and I went home to do some yoga. She showed me the routine she had made up for her final in yoga class. It felt so good and stretched out some back and side muscles that sorely needed stretching! After yoga, I went home and relaxed for a bit before going out to the parents' houses. Dropped off the dogs at my mom's, then headed over to the bf's mom's for dinner. The pulled pork sandwiches we had were excellent, but of course I got teased for not eating any steak or chicken. I fully admit, sometimes I can eat as much as the brothers can... but if I ate like that all the time, I would be the size of the Titanic. Yesterday just happened to be a day where I chose to eat like a bird - a little here and there all day long. At the very least, I was able to finish knitting another old fashioned washcloth in pretty blue/green/white colors (Peaches&Creme's sea mist).

Today, I have a long list of things to get done, but at this point I'm wondering if I'll complete half of those. I'll really have to work fast!
