Currently on the needles: a pink petal dishcloth, the second armwarmer, and an illusion scarf.
I want to work on the illusion scarf, but I am quickly running out of yarn. I took a quick look at the website where I bought this gorgeous alpaca and the shop isn't open until Tuesday. TUESDAY! So, I suppose I'll have to work on the last armwarmer while watching some t.v. today.
So far, the illusion scarf is going great. I wanted to design a scarf that showed both a fondness of Harry Potter without it blatantly being something that looks like it. I think that illusion knitting is perfect. I used the red and gold colors of Gryffindor, since I like red and I know I'll wear it when it's finished. One one side of the scarf, I imbedded a lightning bolt. On the otherside will (hopefully) be a hidden message. It should say: the boy who lived. We'll see how it turns out once it is actually knit.... I actually didn't even know if the lightning bolt would work out, but the image is great! Take that, Voldie!
Then there are the armwarmers. Am I tired of knitting in a cirle? Am I tired of knitting in blue? Whatever the case, I should finish these quickly, so that I can start the little generations purse. I'll be using the left-over yarn for it, since I'll have quite a bit of it. It will be cute and Christmas-ed to mom along with something else. I just don't know yet.
The dishcloth is 'meh.' I'll save it for an easy mindless knitting day, or class.
That's really all I've got going on at the moment, if you can believe it! Ten more projects swimming in my head though. I'm seeing a great HP theme to a lot of them. Who knows, maybe enough to compile a book. We'll see. ^^
